We are looking for a few people to suggest and lead one of our walks. Do get in touch with the co-ordinator if you can offer to lead a walk.
Our walks vary between 3 and 6 miles on the first and third Monday of each month. We meet outside Cornerstone Church on Hayeswater Road at 9:45am leaving at 10:00am. We try to arrange lifts for all the people who wish to go. I phone everyone on my list on the previous Friday or Saturday to confirm numbers. Please pay the driver £3 if you receive a lift, as a contribution to their petrol & maintenance costs.
*Wet weather clothing and walking boots are essential. A walking pole/poles are useful. Please bring your mobile phone for emergencies.*
The format is: We drive to a pub/cafe and order our lunches in advance & also visit the facilities!!! (if possible.) The cars are left in the pub car park and we do a circular walk back to the start, aiming to be back for our pub lunch at about 1:30pm.
After lunch we drive back to Cornerstone Church, the pick up point.
